Terms of Use

These terms apply to the uAlarm app and the ualarm.app website. By using uAlarm you agree to them. Please read section 2 in particular — it matters.
1. uAlarm
uAlarm is an alarm clock that asks you to complete a mission before the alarm turns off. Missions include exercise verified by the camera (push-ups, squats, jumping jacks), photo object hunts, walking a set number of steps, shaking the phone, scanning an NFC tag or a barcode, and similar challenges. The app also offers alarm tones, wallpaper themes, streaks, and wake-up analytics. Some features require a paid subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.
uAlarm is currently available for iPhone on Apple's App Store. An Android version is in development but has not been released.
2. Alarm reliability
uAlarm works hard to ring reliably, but it runs on your phone and inside your operating system's rules. No alarm app can guarantee it will ring in every circumstance. An alarm may fail to ring, ring late, ring silently, or be dismissed when, among other things:
- the device is powered off or the battery has died;
- the operating system restricts the app (battery savers, focus or do-not-disturb configurations, background limits);
- notification or alarm permissions have been revoked or were never granted;
- the volume or audio settings are configured so the alarm cannot be heard;
- the device malfunctions, runs out of storage, or has hardware faults;
- an operating system update changes how alarms behave;
- other circumstances outside our control occur.
Do not rely on uAlarm as your only safeguard for anything critical — medical needs or medication schedules, emergencies, flights, exams, work shifts, or any situation where oversleeping would cause serious harm. Use a backup for events like these.
3. Missions and physical activity
Exercise missions (push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, steps) are optional, and you are responsible for deciding whether they are appropriate for you. Choose missions that suit your physical condition and surroundings, and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort. uAlarm provides no medical advice; if in doubt, talk to a doctor before choosing exercise missions.
4. AI and automated verification
Camera missions are verified by automated, on-device technology that recognizes your movements or the object in front of the camera. It runs entirely on your phone — camera frames never leave your device (see the Privacy Policy) — and, like any automated system, it may occasionally make mistakes: a rep might not count, or an object might be misread. This verification exists to make the alarm experience work; it is not professional health, fitness, identification, or safety analysis, and you should not treat its output as any of those.
5. Accounts
Signing in is optional — the alarm works without an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, you are responsible for the security of that Apple or Google account. You can delete your uAlarm account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or as described on the account deletion page; deletion permanently removes your account data from our servers.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
- Purchases are made through the app store you purchased through — currently Apple's App Store — and are governed by your account with that store. We never see your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your store's subscription settings.
- Introductory pricing (such as a discounted first year) applies once per Apple account; after the intro period the standard price applies. There is no free trial.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies.
- Deleting your uAlarm account does not cancel an App Store subscription. To stop being charged, cancel the subscription in your App Store settings.
7. Lifetime purchases
The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It gives you access to the paid features of the current uAlarm service for as long as we offer that service. It is not a guarantee that the service will operate indefinitely, and it does not automatically cover future products we might offer separately.
8. Acceptable use
- Don't reverse-engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its content.
- Don't abuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or interfere with other people's use of it.
- Don't circumvent purchases, access controls, or usage limits.
- Use uAlarm only in ways that comply with the law where you live.
9. Intellectual property
The uAlarm software, branding, mascot artwork (yes, the chick), designs, alarm tones, wallpaper themes, and other content belong to uAlarm or its licensors. They are licensed to you for personal use inside the app — nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, add, or remove features, tones, and themes over time, and the service may occasionally be unavailable (for example during maintenance or due to problems with third-party infrastructure). We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability of the app, its downloadable content, or the website.
11. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, uAlarm and the ualarm.app website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
12. Limitation of liability
The alarm disclaimer in section 2 is the big one, and the same principle applies to everything else: to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses connected to uAlarm or this website — including losses caused by an alarm that did not ring, rang late, or was dismissed — and our overall liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you hold under mandatory consumer protection law where you live.
13. Account termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or attempt to disrupt it. You can stop using uAlarm at any time, and you can delete your account as described in section 5.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update the app and these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use uAlarm after a change means you accept the new terms.
15. Other terms
- If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- If we don't enforce a clause at some point, that doesn't mean we've waived it.
- Our legal pages are published in English only, and the English wording governs — even though the app itself is available in English, Russian, and Uzbek.
